The Ancient Guild of Dragon Research
« on: 06 March 2022, 09:37:12 AM »
Here are four wooden plaques that I have made for my grandsons. They were inspired by a couple of images in the book DRAGONWORLD by S. A. Caldwell.

In addition the plaques have weathered and personalised labels glued to the backs;

They were great fun to make and have been very well received. For more information, see the Blog;

Awesome! I love faux props like these  8) I'm sure they'll receive a prime spot in your grandson's room.

I once made a replica of the holy grail (from Indy) for a good friend of mine, with whom I studied archaeology back in the day. Still one of the favourite things I've ever made...  :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I checked for images of the Holly Grail on GOOGLE and think this could be a cool project to do at some stage in the future.

Such wonderful artifacts should be in the natural history museum.

Lucky Grandson.

My son loves that book.

Tony, not to derail your thread, but for your reference, here's that holy grail I made, all the way back in 2018 (has it really been that long already?)...

Or you could make a miniature of Audrey Tautou as Sophie Nevue from the Da Vinci Code!   lol

That would be my go to.
