WotR skirmish suggestions?
« on: 09 January 2023, 07:56:48 PM »
Men,

I'm thinking of taking the plunge into this period (1455-1525)(WotR, Italian Wars in particular) via skirmish or small battle games. I do own Never Mind the Billhooks but would like to hear any other suggestions or favorite rules sets for the period.

I guess less than 100 models per side would do nicely but willing to listen. (As I used to tell my kids when they were teenagers and ask to go somewhere: convince me.) :-)

Thanks,
Steve

Lion Rampant would also work.

To get you started & playing, I suggest Fistful of Lead.
Low figure count (about 5 figures a player) quick to learn rules
and great fun.

Never Mind the Billhooks Deluxe Edition could be added to that list then you could switch between very loose formations of Lion Rampant and Fistful to the semi structures of Billhooks.
