Illustrated.
The laws of probability do not apply to my dice in wargames or to my finesses in bridge.

Quite so. Ludendorff’s masterly handling of the war and the resultant German victory on the Western Front made him the ideal person to comment.

Ooops, have I accidentally insulted your great-great-grandfather? I grovel in self-abasing contrition.

Well given my great-grandfather(s) weren’t Douglas Haig or even any of his Corps Commanders, then no, not really.

Of course I doubt either of them or their various siblings who all served in the Great War would have been given to ventilating the words of an anti-semitic conspiracy theorist, whose own generalship was left wanting in the final wash up. A largely discredited trope the old lions lead by donkeys thing

But if it floats yer boat, more power to you old boy.

My lions in the model contain a certain amount of lead, of course, but I fail to see the relevance otherwise...
