Zombies of Haiti

Into the Zombie Underworld... fantastically good article on modern-day zombie goings-on in Haiti.

No brain-eating, this is old-school enslaved-by-drugs zombi voodun stuff, alive and well in the 21st Century.

Obvious fodder for a Caribbean pulp game, too!

I agree. That's a great article and great fodder for a Caribbean Pulp campaign.

I have a set of Old Glory's "Voodoo Warriors" figures that make excellent Zombi antagonists for pulp characters. They paint up very nicely and I'd recommend them for such a campaign.

Great movie reference: Serpent And The Rainbow. With a little tweeking it would make a snazzy pulpy scenario. Even has the cheezy big fight scene at the end. :-*

Looks like the Voodoo warriors make great Zombies and New Orleans Cthulhu Cultists.   lol

I couldn´t help to think the whole day about the second hypothesis that there are no such things as zombies. The "societies" only make the common people believe it. I could imagine this would work if it´s lore for generations and grandparents tell the story to the youngest from their earliest days...

In that regard it could exist as a psycho-somatic condition within the Society.  Making Haitian Zombies not unlike the "bone pointing" phenomenon found the natives of Australia.
