Claymore 2023
« on: 06 April 2023, 11:51:37 AM »
On the 5th of August this year, usual place.

The bring-and-buy has become a flea market, where you hire a table to flog your wares

Excellent!

As of August last year I now live literally around the corner from the venue, so I suspect I'll be there!
Between the idea
And the reality
Between the motion
And the act
Falls the Shadow

Went to add an entry in my calendar only to find I already had an entry for the first Saturday in August from this year onwards. Must have set it up after Claymore last year.

The days of arriving with a tribe of children in tow are long behind me but I'll be there, barring fire, flood or accident!

The question, tikitang, is ... will there be a stall selling tea trays?  :)

Just bumping this to remind folk that it's this Saturday :D

It's also the start of the Edinburgh Festival, so you may want to attach scythed blades to your footwear if you need to move about the centre of town (although you'd probably get a crowd around you if you did, thinking it's part of the festival ::))

Did anyone take and decent pictures of the games (please)? SESWC was my old club and I would love to see some.

Not sure what game you mean, but there's a Border Wars thread with some pictures from the show - https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=142310.0

Given that the title of the thread is "Claymore 2023" I was hoping someone might have taken some pictures of the games?
