Yes, he can simply login with the account details he gave at the registration. I have waited for three days for my e-mail and tried to reregister today. While doing so I got the notification that my mail-adress was already used by an registered account and I noticed that I can simply login.

Same thing happened to me. I saw this complaint on another platform ad well. I wonder how many new sign ups we may be missing out on.
