Interesting post! I actually started to cut up some foam for trenches myself and wondered how deep the trenches should be  ???

I just finished a commission for some trench boards for use with the newly released Quar from Wargames Atlantic. I deliberately modeled the design after Great War trenches.

A bit late to this one, but Andrew Belsey did a series of trench cross sections in 1/35 showing a lot of the different styles and materials used - so much so he wrote a book.
