Somewhat disappointingly, the whole topic is moot. I was trying to buy a unicorn from Northstar to put my Sorceress on (in fact, I was trying to buy a Sorceress because I was buying a unicorn and needed a rider) but now I have been told that they don't have any unicorns.

Would think it would be pretty easy to convert any old horse to a unicorn.

Well, it was a particular unicorn I was after.

The horse that the rider comes with has reins and a bridle. So I'd need a different horse, or I can get a unicorn from somewhere else. Or just give up on the idea of a unicorn-riding sorceress, and just have her on the horse she comes with.
