I've been a member on here for several years, but actually never introduced myself properly, how rude! Let's get that done finally.
I'm originally from Sweden, but I've been living in the UK for 20 years this year

. I came into the hobby 2007 via board games and RPG's and started out with a small wild west collection. I belong to a very active, lively local gaming club (Bedford Gladiators), that was at the verge of disbanding during Covid but came back stronger than ever and now regularly there are 20+ people playing games on a Monday night.
The hobby is my "escape route". I work in a high stress environment, it's literally life-or-death at times, so doing something far away from reality keeps my sanity (whatever remains

).
I'm almost a "pure" skirmish gamer, I find it very difficult to focus on big impressive games, there are too many figures for me to remember. I'm primarily playing the wild west but now also a zombie apocalypse solo campaign. I want my games to be fun, I'm really not worried about if I win or lose. I'm happy to play anything, be it a war game, board game or RPG, as long as it's not Risk

!
And there you have it. I really enjoy this site, with its friendly members and lots of inspiration and advice.
Regards,
Legionnaire.
