Khurasan releases Later Carthaginians (commercial)
« on: 27 March 2025, 05:41:50 AM »
Khurasan Miniatures has released wave 1 of our 15mm Later Carthaginian range:
https://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/punic-macedonian-wars.html

Wave 1 is the army of Hannibal in Italy from Cannae until the fateful return to Africa ? arguably the greatest army of all time, which inflicted the most crushing defeat in a set piece battle of all time.

Shown here are the mercenary Iberian Scutarii ? it?s a very international army, but had very few Carthaginians!

These look gorgeous. How?s the situation with spears, do they require drilling ? What size rounds are these on ? Very tempting. And the Romans are just as good !?  :o May have to finally pull the trigger for a sampling ?

Thank you. The spears are cast on as you see them.

The Romans are already on the webstore, same link if you want to have a look.

Steve mounted these on little coins or maybe washers. The figurines come with very small intrinsic bases as is typical for 15mm.

Very cool. Thanks for clarifying. I shall continue to be interested in these and hope to try some out soon.

These look very cool! Any idea how they look, size wise, compared to the Warlord games Epic Hail Caesar minitures? I can think of several used for these! Also lovely paint work on the demo ones.

They are extremely lovely figures but also on the expensive side for 15mm.

Disagree with the pricing assessment — just checked Essex and Xyston and they’re the same price.

Khurasan Miniatures has added Libyan spearmen in original equipment to our 15mm Punic and Macedonian Wars range:
https://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/punic-macedonian-wars.html

This is what Hannibal’s Libyan spearmen would have looked like before they were re-equipped with Roman equipment, as well as the spearmen in the other Carthaginian armies, in Spain.

We actually had intended to release these later, in wave 2 of our Later Carthaginian range, but we got the castings in a mixup with the veteran spearmen, so … here they are! Much more coming for this army in the coming months.

Those do look great. Crazy how 15mm in 2025 looks better than most 28mm from 2005. Very lovely figures.
