Just got my copy of the game.

Therefore, review inbound once I can fit it into the schedule for the blog.

It's going to be interesting to see what conclusions you come to and whether we have a broadly similar opinion of the rules.

Has anyone played any games yet?
If so would it work ok on a 3x3?

I don't see why not, the author recommends a 4'x3' table and I'm going to use my 4'x4' table so I'd have thought a 3'x3' would be a good size. You might feel it's a bit cramped at the top end of the points and with a lot of asteroids or other space junk - just see how it goes for your games.

Thoroughly recommend Brigade's spaceships -- they're brilliant models. They design them in 3D and print masters for casting. The multiparts fit amazingly well; the bits slide together with a spot of superglue and no filling/pinning needed and they've got the hang of hiding the joins in natural places so they just vanish. The mix of light resin bodies and metal details means the ships aren't "top-heavy" and prone to falling over. They paint really well; I white undercoat them, contrast/speedpaint them and then brush details and they're done in no time. Their 15mm vehicles are similarly well made!!
