Now there's some scientific evidence, not unlike that often seen in TV ads.  ;)
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

AAR awaiting photos which is awaiting restoring Blogger password which is now taking much longer than in recent past.

However, I can now state I have 50 painted AWI battalions of infantry with 41 table ready and 9 just needing bases textured (all French) and then 4 more French units partially completed.  I also counted up and have 20 guns with crews and 17 leaders table ready with 4 more French leaders in the partial complete stage.  Next up are both additional units for Bunker Hill and a whole bunch of cavalry regiments to add to the four long painted cavalry.

Possible I will get delivered today enough figures to add 4 more units of rifles for continental side of the affair.  Yes, yes, I know, not that common but sometimes the games will just be fun battles rather than historical events and I need to balance all those jaeger units with rifles.  Last metal figures - for any period - I expect to order (unless someone goes nuts on 15 mm pulp figures).

Those 50 table ready battalions: 13 militia, 4 extra continentals, 4 Spanish, 9 French, 4 red coated Loyalists, 4 green coated Loyalists, 8 British regulars, 4 German.

Well that's a safe bet, considering that we were all British at the time!

Finally got access to my blog so I can post some pre-game set-up photos but will need more time to finalize the AAR.

Our 5' x 12' playing surface showing Lexington at the top right, Lincoln near the bottom, and Concord at the top left, nearly or a little over 24' of Battle Road.  And, eventually, there were 60 roofed structures on the table.

Concord

The North Bridge.  Yes, I know, it should be a wooden bridge but I wanted this, my most imposing bridge, to be the site of the action.

Much more to come but too late tonight.

A teaser shot from my rather long - and too many pre-game photos before the action photos - for the AAR:

And the link:

Hope you enjoy it.  Took a lot of effort to get onto the table but, for me, was worth it on the day.  Now to get ready for Bunker Hill in June!

A quick note and a BIG thank you to LAF's own kingsmt for the flags used.  Which I was speedily gluing on in the last half hour before people were set to arrive!  I only just finished texturing the last of the figures the night before just ahead of midnight.  Oh, what we do to run our games.  :o

Again, worth it for this one.  Getting to redo such a significant historical battle on such a significant anniversary was super cool for me.

Checking on what I need to paint for Bunker Hill, some British generals and guns and five foot units.  But...

Oh, bother.   Seems I need to compromise and use a yellow faced British foot unit as a white faced unit for Bunker Hill.  I have my regular units assigned to five historical brigades but am short one white faced unit in the mix!

Well, maybe I can find a Loyalist unit in red coats with white facings...?

Hmm, stay tuned, off to check resources.

...and, nope, don't find a white faced, red coated Loyalist unit.  So pale yellow it shall be.

A great looking game  8)

I appreciate you've got a huge array of buildings, but what companies would you recommend for buildings suitable for 15mm AWI?
