General Lee's ACW exploits: May 3rd, Antietam game
« on: 30 April 2025, 11:58:28 PM »
I've been coming here for well over a decade and have shown some of my ACW units off and on. I actually started painting ACW around 2008 when the Perries released their first plastic ACW figures and then meeting many of you on the Steve Dean Painting forum.

In any case, I thought it be nice to finally start an ongoing topic with my ACW stuff (not that I consider it enormously good). So here is a new version of Stonewall Jackson,  James Longstreet that I repainted to a slightly higher standard and 2 new Union regiments

Here are some pictures of our Antietam game. It cost us quite a long time to set up all the terrain and figures so we started an hour later thsn plannen, as such, we were unable to play the entire length of the scenario.

The Confederates had the upperhand in terms of units destroyed but the yankees had a lot more troops still to get in position. Still, it was a great game

Everything about that game looked perfect. A real 'moving' diorama.

Nice, you've got the Union "very very very dark blue" jackets down to a tee. Often Union uniforms are painted far too bright.
