As I finally decided to open a store at Myminifactory, I've also started sharing my future plans.

For a year or so I'm working on a set of wargame rules about dwarven expeditions in the desolated land of mysterious ancient clan. They are still undergoing playtesting.

But more important now is that at the same time I've started working on a supporting miniatures range.

First set of 7 dwarves (traditional number of dwarves  :D) is ready in the store: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/fatherprimus.

I decided to design my dwarves in a fashion of Caucasus mountains' people, especially Georgian. As you can see, they have specific dress and headgear even if made of metal and dragon scales.

Set includes 7 models:
- Noble in armor with torch and sword
- Huscarl, armored and armed to the teeth
- Lightly armored guard with a spear and throwing axe
- Miner
- Scout with a musket
- Priest, praying to the mountain spirits
- Berserk, half-naked and armed with two long daggers

And here are these models printed and test painted by me:

More updates on the rules and the models are yet to come.

Lovely looking miniatures! It's always nice to see Dwarves in a different setting.

Thanks! I've always thought that striking style of Caucasus dress suits dwarves quite well.

I have plans to make more interesting designs for these dwarfs in the future.

With those fancy beards it is an obvious good choice. I think I would have never thought of that until I got pictures of both at my desk at the same time  :D

Modern Caucasus men (btw that is more influenced by Islam and not by local customs) often wear beards of various length without moustache. I found it fascinating when applied to dwarves!
