90,000 vs 50,000 at the Nivelle (1813)

This seriously large battle near the end of the Peninsular War doesn't seem to make it onto wargamers' tables. (At least, Google couldn't find me any games of it. Surely someone out there can pipe up and claim to have played it?)

We rectified this on Monday. What makes it distinctive is the 20-mile patchwork of French fortifications that the Allies have to overcome in order to breach the French line. Not that the French were just defending – there were vigorous counterattacks too. It produced an interesting tactical challenge and a memorable game. Photo-AAR on the BBBBlog here:
