Spaghetti Western Town in 28mm
« on: 11 January 2010, 06:57:07 PM »
This is most of it.  Lot's of scenery and detail have been added since these photos  (this phase was a rush job for a convention, and I gave away my terrain boards to some children on day one, forgetting that I needed them for day3, so we had an inprompto felt for the base  :( )

Bird's eye town view:

As Angel Eyes sees the Town:

Interior of "El Huricon" cantina (unfinished, mujch better now)  Note the beginnings of the matakishi thumbtack barstool concept

Coffin Shop, Blacksmith:

Interior of Bodega (Some of my good work)  All the fruits and vegetables are simply globs of acrylic paint, I scraped off my painting table, tore or cut up into little pieces (it's rubbery), and rolled into shapes with my fingers.    lol

The fish market  is my best work, but no inetrior pics :(:  You can see it from the main pics, it has the porbeagle shark hanging up outside the storefornt. (how a porbeagle shark ended up in a Mexican village, I know not)

"Taco Stinko", inspired by my infamous old    client, "Refugio Rojas" (best name ever for an aspiring moderrn day Mexican warlord/taco proprietor in Arkansas, eh?  He was loads of fun to represent, although the judge warned me that I was probably palling around with him too much, and ought to stay clear of him socially) and his Arkansas taco stand:

Update:  I tore some stucco off and carved some exposed brick sections on the buildings, so they look better now.

(I am wary of posting my builds on this site, as EVERYONE seems to be better than me   :-[ )

Very nice, I really like all the interior details, the fruit and veg is great. Very inspiring. :)

Nice work. I recently finished my Wild West buildings as well, and I also decorated all of the interior of the buildings. This is the only project I decided to do this for, and I am glad I did. Your town now looks realistic too. Great job!! Thanks for sharing.

I love the old west town. The interior details, the fruit and veg are great.
Looks like you've put in alot of hours of work into this one.
Is there any chance of posting some close ups of the figures as they look pretty nice in the distance.

Thanks, everyone.  I don't have close ups of the figs, but trust me, that photo is as good as they get.  LOL!
