Yip Gets the Girl
« on: 04 January 2010, 02:13:41 AM »

We just wanted to share some pictures from one of our games this weekend, with a few of the new buildings. Sorry about the poor lighting and shakey camera work, but I'll try to get Wolf Girl to post some good pics when she gets back from Texas.

(Shown above -- the characters are scattered around the buildings. Yip Pang’s men prepare to spring their ambush.)

(Shown above -- Doc Turk and Joe engage in some gunplay on the east side of the hamlet. Joe does not fare well.)

(Shown above -- on the south side, Jung found himself being attacked from several sides but proved to be more than a match for his adversaries.)

(Shown above -- Dan found himself greatly outclassed by Machinegun Jimmy’s blazing guns. His fancy hat was unable to repel firepower of that magnitude.)

(Shown above -- Just when Nate thought he was going to be the hero of the chapter… )

(Shown above – sometimes Shenanigans Red doesn’t need a good reason to leap on a truck and strike a heroic pose!)

(Shown above -- Doc Turk comes around the corner and briefly engages Yip Pang in a savage taunting the likes of which he is not soon hear again!)

(Shown above -- Yip Pang’s ambush did not look like it would work, but at the end of this thrilling chapter he managed to find and escape with the Lost Map and The Girl.)

THANKS!

Oh that cunning Yip Pang! It seems he has good joss indeed.  :o

Standing by for the next episode of this thrilling tale.

The buildings are a beauty, but they would give their best on a sand(ish) gaming mat (btw your warfur looks terrific).

Oh, I like that. That is the thing, action adventures are made of! Now the heroes have some work to do in order to bring the vilain to justice!

Heya Peabody! -- be sure to check out the full battle report (Showdown in Hidalgo) and let us know what you think. It has tons more pictures!  :D

midismirnoff -- thanks for the suggestion. We’ll try taking some pics on more of a desert cloth next time.

Doomhippie -- oh yes! It is often better if the villain has the upper hand early in the story-arc.

thebinmann -- the tokens are completely pointless and rather distracting. I only use them to help me remember what was happening in the picture, when I go back through the photos later. The rules are just a little something we have been playtesting.

THANKS!

Lovely looking game. I think the turf looks just fine with those buildings. Keep the photos coming.  :-*
