Shortly coming to a newsstand near you ---- in a couple of months, actually.
I’ve been assembling the first of what may well be a series of Pulp Scenario compilations. My idea was to collect a number of pulse-racing scenarios from a number of designers (many of them bribed by competition prizes as part of a contest on the Astounding Tales Yahoo group), add something of my own, and present it to a welcoming world. Since Pulp gaming is about the story rather than the rules, I wanted the scenarios to be interesting to players of any rules set. Obviously, the scenarios are written with Astounding Tales! In mind, but there will be a section on converting these scenarios to other rules systems. Buck Surdu has written a conversion for his own ‘To Be Continued by GASLIGHT’, Dr Kurt of ‘Rugged Adventures’ is doing his bit and, although Rich Johnson is busy with his own projects, he has given his blessing for David Drage to write up the .45 Adventure section.
This is what it looks like so far:

ASTOUNDING ADVENTURES!
White Slavers of the Red EmpireSCENARIOS for “ASTOUNDING TALES!”
And other Pulp gaming systems
1) “White Slavers of the Red Empire,” by Matt “The Mongoose” Kelland.
2) “Gimbals Gillespie and the Bloody Night of the Screaming Savages,” by Alan Hamilton
3) “The Phantom Jungle,” by Peter “Gumshoe” McDonald
4) “Zombie Crime: The Screaming Corpses of the Desert,” by Jamie Matthews
5) “Night Raven and the Secret Masters of the White Temple,” by Jeff Wasileski and Bob Zaccano
6) “The Vaults of the Visigoths,” by Howard ‘Masked Avenger’ Whitehouse
Most of the adventures are single-scene stories, although other are two and three reelers. I expect it’ll be around fifty pages total, with appropriately lurid cover and illustrations. Patrick Wilson of The Virtual Armchair General will be performing key art and layout duties, and it’ll be a TVAG production, available from TVAG, brought to you by TVAG.
