An Actual Jungle Temple!
« on: 11 May 2010, 11:28:55 AM »
During my week's vacation on Oahu at the end of April, we took the time to visit a bunch of off-the-beaten-track areas, including Kaneaki heiau on leeward (western) Oahu - a fully restored Hawai'ian temple that is thought to have been dedicated to agricultural fertility.

"If only you spoke Hawai'ian, Doctor Jones..."

If you really want to see more vacation pics, there's the entire Oahu 2010 set on Flickr.

Inspiration for some of the other scenery makers out there, perhaps?

Thanks for sharing, although it makes me long for October when I get to enjoy Maui. Your pictures are also making me want to throw my painting queue out so I can work on my Eureka Hawaiians...
