I really like it. you made it nice and clean!

Be careful with the painting, is pretty hard to make the wood colour work!

Nearly done. A few faults eg when it recoils the forward gun will crash straight back into the mast and the boom off the main mast is too high.

The crew and guns are from Eureka except for the officer Front Rank AWI French Artillery officer. No reason he is there except perhaps his blue coat.

Well done, blossom. Now it's time to see if it floats. The cannons are sightly unfortunate in their placement but we live in uncertain times.

Agreed very nice - but the cannons are a little too long for my liking.

I got a couple of short little buggers from http://minimi.co.uk/pirates/

See them in action here http://adventuresinlead.blogspot.com/search/label/ships

Well done.

The placement of guns is unfortunate the result of the hull being too narrow and not having a plan but making it up as I go along.

As for moving to Goulburn too cold I dont get the same thickness of coat.

That's great work!   8)

I agree that smaller cannon would work better as they'd be more in keeping with the vessel being a sloop - I use the HO castings from model boat shops as they scale up well.

I think the boom position is fine - much lower and fingers/hands would catch it as the minis are moved aorund.

(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Is it too late, or too soon, to ask for a stern look?

Hmm....

Make that a look at the stern.

Hadn't thought of a stern view not much to see thinking of adding a stern window or a skylight on the poop deck.
