Seeking photos of painted Pontoonier Burmese and Gurkhas
« on: November 07, 2010, 07:24:35 PM »
Hi, clever friends, I'm limbering up my paintbrush to do some damage to the Pontoonier miniatures I purchased mail order from the UK, and then two weeks later more at Historicon.  But I need inspiration !!   Could you please link me to photos of these figures nicely painted?  That would get my creative juices flowing.

Thanks in advance if you can help.

Aaron had some painted up

I just painted up 9, but I'm using them as South Mollucans in my KNIL army. I don't think that they would be of much inspiration in blue. Beautiful minis. I'd like some more for use as actual Ghurkas :)

I found these somewhere on the web when I first heard of Pontoonier, apologies to the owner as I cannot give you credit as I do not remember where I found them

Painted this chap up last week. His friends should hopefully join him soon.

I’m quite happy with the results, even though the helmet does need a highlight.  I might also try some lighter tones in imitation of the Osprey illustration.

Thanks for posting that , I bought a few packs at the weekend as well as the osprey second hand and the Foundry Burma book from Dave Thomas for a tenner. I actually only meant to buy 2 packs of ghurkas but bought 13 packs from the range in the end , must have been Seans sweet talking.

Svenn, those are mine!   :)   I couldn't find them in my PC's files; I probably deleted them since the lighting in those pics sucks.  I think they were uploaded to the Yahoo Colonial Wars group.  Sorry for the picture quality.
