Nifty! As a former resident of Tennessee, I really like our esteemed (and former) Senator.

I've said it before and I'll say it again !  The blending on that jacket is
brilliant. And you work with Antenociti's leaf litter is spot on for the time
of year !

Nice work, a shame its only a single !

Ah, that's what he used, very cool stuff.  The fall leaves add such a nice touch to that base. Also, love the work on the jacket and cap on that fig.

Thanks.  :)

Making Davy’s Autumn Base.

Super glue small tree stump – from my spares box.
Silver sand mixed with PVA glue smoothed over the base.
Paint earthy colours.  Brown & Burnt Umber from a cheap “Craft” range.
Attach “grass” in small clumps.
Take leaves from my bag of Leaf Litter.  Cut some up – they are trefoils out of the bag.  Though most I leave “as they come.”
Carefully attach with thinned PVA glue.
Add to my palette a small drop of the following paints:-
Terracotta.
Blood red
Bright yellow – any will do.
Snakebite Leather
Take some of the SB Leather and mix with the yellow to a “gold.”  So now you have Terracotta, Blood red, Snakebite Leather & “Gold”

Thin paints.  (The leaves are slightly absorbent and the paint needs to soak in a little.)  Apply to leaves in any combination you like.  I used memory and imagination, but you could always use photos of Autumn leaves.  I only painted some leaves, others are left as is.  Adds variety.

Hope this helps.
