Spawn of the Pit by Firedragon Games
« on: February 18, 2011, 12:19:28 AM »
Kinda like this, would look great in a Lovecraftian game:

The only sticking point, to me at least, is that price tag.

I agree it digs into the hobby budget, but it's a better bargain than something similar from Forge World. It is really nice, and I hadn't seen their products before, so thanks for posting this!

That is a very awesome mini...but yes a little pricey!

Too pricy for me. I prefer Tengu's Son of Yog-Sothoth for a similar look.

Same, here, it's nice enough, but when compared to the cost of Uncle mikes formless spawn or Blackstones models, i can't justify the cost.

That is REALLY COOL...disgusting, but cool nonetheless!
With pricey pieces like that you need a bit of constructive rationalization cum suspension of reality. Figuring that the exchange rate makes that a $50 mini. Then figuring something that complex would take me probably 25 hours of painting time. Since I LOVE painting, this equals 25 hours of enjoyment for $50...ergo, it's cheaper than taking in a movie.
Of course, this type of logic doesn't tend to work on one's significant other.
