Question? Crusader Miniatures

I collect 28mm WW2 Soviet miniatures (think I know my subject!)

But what is the weapon the soldier is carrying (top left) in the Crusader miniatures winter command group!!!

Like the other figures tho!

M 44 carbine ( very similar )
