My 40k figures
« on: June 09, 2011, 01:18:30 PM »
I put up my introduction in the fantasy section, I figure it's time to show you some of my sci-fi work.

Chaos obliterator:

Plague Rhino from about 2 years ago:

And another one that I just finished:

And a couple of close ups to show the slime/pus/drool running off the marine that just popped out of a boil on top of the vehicle:

Thanks for looking.

Thank you. Indeed there is. I got it second hand and it was in horrible shape. It didn't have any of the hatches/doors, and it looked as though it had been stepped on--twice. It almost got thrown out a couple of different times before I decided to salvage it. After a lot of cutting, bending and plasticard work, it still looked kind of horrible, so I started throwing milliput at it to try and hide the worst of it. One thing led to another, and it ended up as you see now.

Very ... I'm looking for a word that really isn't 'nice', because they're not... very ickky! As they should be. Nice use of the tyrannid thing as the hatch too.

I also have a rhino a bit like that, it was in a box from ebay with a couple of others and is obviously knackered... the previous owner covered it in toilet paper and PVA to acheive a similar effect, but you can tell parts of it are missing if you squeeze where the hatches should be. A great way to re-use battered stuff I think!
