the ones they have painted on their trade stand are absolutely superb, they really should update the website.

Thanks for that link, I always forget to look at the Redoubt stuff.  The painting of the figs on the site does put me off most of the time, but that boat looks great.

Nice boat, but I know what you mean about redoubt - I have often wondered about their figures but their website is terrible!

The more I look at their site the more I fancy their French marines.  Those look like nice sculpts and I will be in the market for some before long.

Are Redoubt the ones that can be vary large? Eureka do a whaleboat that is very nice, but as it comes with a crew of whalers it needs more work than the redoubt offering.

Yeah the ones Svennn pointed you toward are much more in line with the historical ones that I have seen and worked on in my day (I'm an nautical archaeologist on Lake Champlain...so am quite familiar with F&I Vessels).  In fact that one looks just like the two re-enacting vessels we have at our museum.

I find it very interesting that so many folks from across the pond are interested in this conflict as most people here in the states have no idea what it even is...but you probably feel same way about the English Civil War...Crimean War etc...etc.

Cheers,

Hey, I'm in Vermont and I don't know about this museum!  And I'm a teacher in our fair state.  What museum? I'm home for the summer with my six year old, I'm sure she would love to visit a museum with me.
