A new breed of zombie discovered
« on: 10 July 2011, 03:47:00 PM »
Greetings folks, I wasn't sure where to post these so I opted for VSF... (The idea being that they are plantation slaves turned zombie).

So, here you have our new breed of Voodoo Zombies. We discovered them deep in the jungle gnawing on bones and crunching up outsized tropical insects.
You can read more about them at: http://www.fiendishfabrications.com.au/html/grim_revelations_.html
Let me know what you think. Cheers.

I do like the female one, not really keen on the others.

I kinda like them all. Not sure where they would fit in though. Might pick them up in the future.

The female is definitely an odd pose, unless she's sitting on something, but I cant tell from the picture.
Not sure I see the point in the masks on the male ones...?

Maybe that’s the mix of Voodoo and Tikis stuff… That seem like an odd choice :?

VERY COOL looking minis! When I picture Voodoo & Zombies, the picture focuses on things of Haitian origins; as such the minis ring true...although the masks might be a tad on the Polynesian side.

I find them a bit on the 'spry' zed side, but just trying to maintain my curmudgeon status.  :D

Thanks for the kind replies.
The reason for the masks is to give them a distinctive African tribal feel so that they don't just appear as every other shambling corpse. The idea being that the use of masks in Africal tribal rituals has found its way into use for Voodoo cult rituals.

I researched some African masks and these are pretty close.
