Sorry I don't understand what you're asking...

The bottom of the gun shields and the wheel rims are white.  I am not familiar with the paint schemes of WW1 French artillery so I was just asking.

...might be a problem with the picture... they are painted in a kind of light sand color, the same I use on my figures' bases to represent dirt... I could have/should have painted them in a slightly darker tone

Maybe the problem is with Sterling's monitor, because they are not white for me, but a dusty sandy colour, as Calimero says.
