Middle East AAR
« on: 23 December 2011, 02:10:52 AM »
A friend and I got together for a small game.
I wanted to try a few new rules with a small size battle.
The game is set up with some contractor's SUV in the wrong part of town, then breaks down. The have to hot foot it to a safer part of town.
First two photos a look at the town, from different points of view.

The 4 contractors making a run for it. Behind them a unit of Taliban just off the table.

Contractors fortup in a building, knowing that they are overmatched with the Taliban moving in.

The Taliban have surrounded the building, the Contractors have already taken some hits, with men down. But US troops have heard the firing and start moving in.
The troops on both sides entered the board on certain die rolls, so far the Taliban have the edge.

Part 2.
Close up with the Taliban around the building.

More US forces are moving in, with fire fights between the units.

By now a number of US forces have entered the table.(Due to better die rolls in getting units on the table.)

Due to the number of US troops the game turned in their favor. The Taliban did have another enter the table. But it was too late.

US troops have what is left of the Contractors and are about to start leaving the board.

All in all a good little game with bad luck for the Taliban with so few units coming on the table.

Using Force on Force rules? Game looks good.

Poiter50,
Rules are a homebrew set I have used for about 8 to 9 years.
They play fairly fast and trouble free.
Only problem is that they are mostly charts with not alot of detail written down.
