Adventures of the 19XX-Miniatures
« on: 10 October 2011, 06:40:45 PM »
Hello,
I have a webcomic called The Adventures of the 19XX that takes place in the 1930s.
I am currently working on a boardgame and would love to make some miniatures at some point. I stumbled upon this forum a couple weeks ago and I'm trying to gather some information on what's involved in making my own miniatures.  In the mean time feel free to check out my comic!

Went to your website. Read all four chapters of you comic.
Story is very cool. Loved it.
When will the boardgame be ready?
Thanks for your very neat site. :-*

Good question.  I'm trying to decide these days how to prioritize everything.  The game unfortunately might have to wait a little longer since I'm working on my second book with every free minute I have.

Went on line and ordered the comic book.
Reread Chapters 1 and 2.
Must say there are some great miniature scenarios in the story.
Now need to paint some minis to play.

Thanks guys!  I'm so glad I found this forum.  It's really hard to do everything yourself but it makes it worth it to know people appreciate it.
I'm actually talking to a few companies to have minis made. (I found links to all of them in these forums)  I know if I had time I could sculpt them myself and that would be fun, but if I have someone else make ones I designed than that leaves more time to finish my book!

My comic came in the mail yesterday.
Had a good look at it this morning.
I like the colors from the book, they really come through on the printed page.
Thank you again for a great comic, can't wait for more.

I received the comic on Monday and read it cover to cover twice.  I would rate it with the likes of Athena Voltaire, great read!
