Any News on the Gear Krieg Books
« on: 09 May 2012, 03:41:01 PM »
 Hi All (and Agis).

I,m a great fan of the Gear Krieg setting, though play it using the 'WaW' rules - a faster and more enjoyable game. I've looked at ViDe a few times, trying to work out if it was a '2nd Edition' for 'WaW', but as it covered mostly historical actions/forces, didn't take the plunge.

With the threads covering the upcoming supplements (sfi-fi, Gear Kreig  :)), i've taken the plunge and downloaded the review rules - and will problably get the rules in full when the GK supplement arrives, so was wondering if this product would supercede the current 'WaW' vehicle guides and so on.

Also, Agis mentioned a July/August timeframe for the GK supplement (i've been reading alot of ViDe threads  :o ), is this still on or are we looking at a little (not too little, i hope) delay. You've got my cash anyway, Agis, as it's GK.

Just a note - after a quick read though the review rules (the free download), i've invested in the core rules, as they do seem to be an upgrade on 'WaW'

Really awaiting the Gear Krieg book/supplement now.

If you play in 28mm, you can now get the General Early and Valkyrie in that scale, with more mechs coming. We've prototyped the Japanese ShiKi, the British Cavalier, the Italian LC1/40 and the Soviet G-27 in 28mm.

Shouldn't the LC1/40 be either in the "Coming Soon" or on the products page with a TBA?

Thanks!

This is a "disturbing" coincidence...  ;) :o I am planning to bring out a free GK booklet this weekend!

It covers the 3 basic variants of each the Early and Walkuere walkers plus all the additional rules you need to play with them in Victory Decision. A proper announcement will follow!
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

You are welcome!  8)

Best thing with all upcoming GK releases, they will be 100 % compatible with all ViDe releases.
So if you want to play German Fallschirmjäger with some Gear - do it. Just pick some walkers from the free booklet as a Light Support Element add them to your platoon and have fun. They are even rules for glider deployment included!
