Giant Ants??
« on: 15 January 2012, 04:57:40 PM »
Hey all!

Recently I bought some metal Giant ants from a bargain bin at the nearby miniature shop. Unfortunately though I can't find anyone that makes anymore Giant Ants, and have been trudging around the net looking for a company that can bolster my Invading Mutant Ant army, but with no luck so far.

Any suggestions??

Many Thanks.

Thanks! I've literally just checked this out, appears I have bought some Steve Jackson ants which are no longer produced ( :() The only hope left now is Khurasans 15mm Giant ants.

Thanks though!

I used plastic ones that I got at a dollar store.  It was a grab bag full of hard plastic insects for about $3.  I got about 15 ants from the bag along with some roaches and spiders and such.
This is my boomstick!

Yes I have seen things like that but I was never very sure if the paint would stick to them, some of the plastic you get with the bug/dinosaur don't seem to be made of plastic that would be good for painting over.

Many thanks though! And Scurv I'll defo give Eureka a shot, I had no idea he had a giant ant with riders!

Iron Wind Metals produce Ant miniatures for a small Ants vs. Ants game, it's in their online catalogue.

I bought 3 fire ants by Safari toys to use in Them!-inspired games. They're actually about 15cm long and I need to pin the legs, but if you're feeling brave:
