What headgear? If it's a kepi then you can use the perry plastic zoaves with their ACW26 Black Union Heads.

The fez might not be the exact shape you want, but it might make a good starting point, added to the body of the Zouave figure of your choice, such as the Perry plastic ones.

Take a look at Castaway Arts http://www.castawayarts.com.au in the Ashanti wars British there are two different african zouave type one in fez and one in turban.  They are actually the West Indies Brit regt.

I should ahve thought of Castaway, Gerry is a good chap to deal with. Alas they aren't quite what I'm after but maybe they'll suit Shipka.

Thanks for the heads up Plynkes. Some other useful headgear there for my projects and I think the French officers can be converted for Portuguese East Africa (ooops... Apols for the thread hijack  ).

Franco prussian war french and prussians are suitable among others for argentinians and chileans.
FPW french zouaves for the negro Bahia zouaves if you are to forget the facial characteristics.

BTW When I first saw an illustration of the Bahia Zouaves I thought their uniform jacket was green, but then I learned it was a misprint. The actual colour was blue.

I think the idea with the Tirailleurs heads would do them justice. BTW very interesting conflict, I don´t no anythig about it.
