Thanks for the really positive feedback all. Just the moral boost required to crack on and get the other half finished. Cavalry, artillery and casualties currently on the workbench. Will post the results as I finish them. By the way they are all Perry Miniatures plastic and metal at 28mm. Cheers.

Hello CyberAlien - Thanks for you comment. The armour is the quickest part of all my painting. First all the figs are undercoated with black spray. Watered down acrylic gun metal is then liberally applied over the whole figure. I use either Vallejo or GW. Then black ink wash over the gun metal. Finally a very, very gentle silver dry brush. Only then do I paint in the details such as belts, flesh, scabbard and heraldry. Simple, quick and effective. Cheers
