My WW1/RCW/BoB Russian Paint Recipes

The question of "what colour do you paint Russian uniforms?" seems to come up regularly when WW1 Eastern Front, Russian Civil War or Back of Beyond gaming is discussed.

I can't claim anything more than approximate historical accuracy, but I've finally gotten around to writing up my version of "How I Paint Russians" over on my blog:

I use Reaper's Master Series paints, so this is geared entirely toward that paint line. If the question is "what Vallejo/GW/etc/etc colours should I use" comes up, I'm afraid I can't help!

I also discovered that I have absolutely no usable pictures of my White Russians, either the rifle regiment figures or the Cossack infantry plaston figures. I'll have to correct that soon and get some pics of them added to the painting post.
