Thanks for the comps on the war train that was fun to do up ages ago. The photos show how dusty it's gotten :(

As for convertin the new train. Well I still need to add a floor to the cab and a bunch more pipes and dials in there. I'm really unsure how much to convert the rest of the train. The carriages do seem too tall but I haven't worked out how to pop them apart yet to see how hard it would be to cut them down. I think the entire carriage body and roof is one piece which is a shame since it would have been nice to have removable roofs. I may just leave them well alone and just paint them as is.

I did this with one of my cars.  It was a real pain got get anything taken apart on those but if you wanted to shorten it you could saw off the bottom, the pry whats left of the carriage and re glue it.
