Damn indeed - just spent 2 hours cutting out the bits and pieces for 72 of them, this is going to take longer than I thought!

Diane's been a busy girl making me ten small crop fields. Details of construction and accessories used will be in a future article for Battlegames Magazine.  I've been plodding along with the Spartans and nearing completion of 5 30 man hoplite units - decided to go for 30 instead of 36 as I'm basing them in 6s, so that makes 5 bases a unit with the command stand in the middle.
Have got around to basing my first skirmish unit of Wargames Factory Numidians - doubling up as Greeks - very versatile figures.  I've now got two boxes, so I'll be doing another lot of javelins, two lots of slingers and two of archers:

Sorry for the long absence!
Some new additions to the growing armies.  First, a bunch of Spartan skirmishers, the two 8 figure units are Wargames Factory, the other 10 man unit is Essex:

Black Tree Designs Greek civilians. Nice little figures theses, I think there is another pack I haven't got yet, but there are no pictures of it on the web site:

Generic javelin men, not sure who I'm going to assign these too yet, think they are Essex too:

Archers, Wargames Factory, nice figures and elegant bows, like the quiver too:

A Spartan scout having a refreshing drink of water at a spring:

Finally, the two butt naked Spartan phalanx hoplites I'm working on at the moment.  Having an experiment with an all over Foundry flesh undercoat as there is so much skin to paint on these fellas:

Hope to have these blokes done by the middle of week, then onto to the next batch of Warlord Spartans.

First up, some of the new Greeks

Two of the new slinger units, Wargames Factory, quite pleased with these, best of their products I reckon.

More of the same, this time as javelin men.

Same unit in one of Diane's new fields.

Next up, some of the Spartan hoplite units:

I think these are Gorgon Miniatures, one of the smaller units 24 figures.

Three of the standard sized 30 figure hoplite units, these boys are Spartans too.

More shots, not sure about the flash, sorry.

Greek light horse, suffering a bit from the flash.

I'll upload some more soon.

Here are some shots of the first buildings I've finished.  First up, a Greek temple:

A small farm:

Working on a larger, richer house complex which will have a formal garden around a paved area and a vegetable garden.  This is early stages, will be sorting out the roofs and weathering it tonight.  Hopefully, I can get the base material on in the morning and finish it off tomorrow night:

Meanwhile, in between drilling holes in the nicely re-plastered walls in the house, managed to get the big farm house finished off.  The figures are from the lovely and elegant Warlord 28mm range.

Next up will be three Greek villages, have made the carcasses on 24" square boards, lots of finishing off to do, so it won't be until the weekend.
