Post-Apoc, Neo-Sov trooper...
« on: January 10, 2013, 10:50:24 PM »
...in 1/35. Not sure if this is the correct section to post this but it's here I most frequent so...
Not based as yet as I haven't decided whether to include him in a small dio or on as a single figure. He's a bit too clean at the mo' but I'll remedy that when basing.

Superb. The camouflage is so realistic.

that is sterling work. The cammo is perfect the rifle rocks the gear looks awesome and the 7 on the shoulder pad is the last word in total skill.

Where did it come from and is there converting in it?

Damm it fellow! Do you ever not paint a great mini!

It's made by these guys:

That is a beautiful piece of work and as already mentioned, it is both realistic and painted far better than the one on the linked site.

On another forum there was mention about the uniformity of the painting... I am not convinced and like it the way it is.

He seems to have his own, military kit but also the odd pack that he has had to collect along the way. I think you have captured that just enough (the funny thing is that, even amongst serving servicemen, the back-pack is one of the first things that gets replaced with something better :D ).

Excellent stuff  :-*

I was just about to jump in and chide him on using piccies of real people and claiming it was his paint job.  ;)

My only issue was, if he's neo-Sov, where's the hammer and sickle?  :D

The 'mak' is too lovely, as well. Does the welding come on the original you used?

Yep - I've made a few additions to the interior (extra padding, equipment, cables) but the exterior, apart from adding a rough texture to the torso areas, is OOB.
