The NOT at SALUTE - "OLD WEST" stash
« on: 22 April 2013, 01:26:50 PM »
Rather than fund the coffers "East Coast" rail this year , i missed travelling to SALUTE in London , and invested in some further additions for Serenity Flatts, So here are a few tasters.

The stash

Dixon for the gallows and the undertaker

AINSTY for the mine set

Dixon for the camp set

Marvelous 7 set from Knuckleduster - well you can;t have too many gunfighters can you..

topped up on horses as well

aim to have most of this done in time for the collections next public outing end of June.

Cheers

Some nice stuff there Deedles. I didn't go for similar reasons (making a similar journey if you're N Yorks based) and thought I might use the saved fare to start an Old West town. I just picked up a Battleflag saloon on ebay to add to my suitable ACW buildings (a church and 2 Perry homesteads). I did also buy a Scotia Grendel APC but that's not terribly Old West. I really like the BF undertaker's house but I can't justify the cost at the moment.

Great haul there! The Knuckleduster stuff has a great deal of character to them! Yea, I wish I could have made Salute or even Reaper Con for the first year, but travel is unlikely. Barely able to go to the next state for a 40k tournament with friends next month. But well it is worth it as we are paying off our debts in a crunch, maybe in a year or two I can just go, 'honey, I am buying X and she won't gripe as we will have the $'.

I need me some more Ainsty stuff...and yes eventually I too will get around to building a mine (or at least an entrance...perhaps the whole thing?).

Well, dang you, sir.  Now I HAVE to build a mine rail for my set up!  You will forever bear the blame.  :-[

Okay, and maybe a little credit since I can come to the photo for inspiration.   ;D
