What will be in this tome?

I'll let Craig field this one, but I will say this: there will be a different cover ON the book – an all-new, spankingly good piece from the artist of the original IHMN cover. At present, it's a temporary image using one of the internal art pieces from the rulebook.

Yeah, Craig. Your thin hints aren't keeping us nearly keyed up enough!

Glenn, you are going to love Heroes, Villains and Fiends. We really hit the New World and Gothic Europe in a big way  :D

But wait!

There will be more gothic elements in Heroes, Villains & Fiends, the supplement that shall be published in November.

Oh, yeah, I recall somewhere you actually had the November date sprung on you, as if you weren't sure you'd be ready by then. I suppose details will be a bit.

Joroas, it's Craig's own fault folks are all wound up, I suppose. He can't even answer questions before someone else answers for him.  ;)

I imagine he's rather pleased with 'attention gratification'.

Well, Amazon has it on pre-order for November.  I picked up IHMN for £8.27 today.....

I hope the release date wasn't a surprise as much as the public announcement of the companion was unexpected (for Osprey too!). We tend to hold off on advertising things earlier than 3 months prior to release, but Amazon and the like receive details far, far in advance... and announce things at their own leisure, without mere publishers and authors none-the-wiser!

Still, cat's out of the bag and all that. I'll have a word with Craig and Charles, and see what we can do about a super-advance sneak preview or something...

Chaps,

Charles and I shall prepare a little teaser/taster in due course for HVF.

So it's my fault that people have got excited eh? Guilty as charged I suppose  ;D

I'm just trying to support a project that I care passionately about across three separate fora and several blogs (including my own). At the same time as writing a supplement, keeping a voracious editor at bay, creating new material for the blog, holding down a demanding 50+ hour per week job 175 miles from home, attending to the memsahib and attendant demanding teenagers and two cats. Not to mention my two other blogs. Other than that my time is my own....

Is it any wonder that I haven't even got all my free figures out of their bags yet?  ;)

Craig, what sort of help can someone give you and the project, part time?

I'm up for helping a bit if you'd like.

Your offer of assistance is greatly appreciated.

At the moment Charles and I are coping though I expect the fora may get somewhat busy after the launch.

If IHMN 'veterans' like Dewkabuk and your good self are willing to help out by answering the new recruits' many questions then that will allow us time to get on with writing more content. We have so many ideas we could fill six supplements  lol

Cheers,
Craig

The problem is getting Osprey to buy them all  lol

I'm sure if the first supplement sells as well as the rules we could be lined up for more work (he said, hoping Osprey are watching...).

And although I suspect you may have been teasing when you said six, if there comes a point where Osprey decides to move on to something else, self-publishing is more possible now than ever.

However, I believe HV&F will sell as well as the ruleset. There's something you two have caught here: a sweet spot of subject, approach, and system that is most satisfactory.
