Help ID these tree bases
« on: 23 June 2013, 07:23:53 AM »
Does anyone know who makes the tree bases seen in this pic on the Prof's Witchhunter site? They kinda look like Woodland Scenic tree bases, but not sure.

These?

The tree bases are belonging to the trees. Got the trees in a model railway shop, unfortunately no idea about the manufacturer.

They look like the old Britains Trees modular pine trees. A range of plastic farm, garden and wildlife toys/miniatures from the sixties and seventies. I have acquired a huge pile of them over the years, as they are perfect for wargaming use.

I have several of these small pines and they have stands exactly like that. The trees are made up of branch levels, which fit on top of each other with nubs that so form the trunk of the tree. The bottom layer slots into that brown plastic base.

If I can find them, I'll try and take a picture tomorrow...
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thanks!  :D

The reason I posted this is that I thought the bases were separate. I was planning on getting the GF9 Snowy Trees, but I don't like the bases. I didn't know Prof's trees and bases were integral.

While searching 1st Corp's site today I found these: http://www.1stcorps.co.uk/online_shop/product_info.php?products_id=3563&osCsid=6b0c67f803946eb530305df57f31ce08

Just what I was looking for.
