Sculpy for tree bases
« on: 11 January 2010, 07:39:39 PM »
Am I the only one to make m,y trees and plant bases from sculpey?

No tipping problem, can shape and form easily, and crank out as many configurations as I want in little time.

What am I missing?  It seems to work great for me.

here's a pic, beofre adding gravel, rocks and ground growth

It seems like a good idea to me. One of the things about this hobby is there is no right or wrong way to do things. Find what works for you and meets your needs and you're good to go.
If pro is the opposite of con, what is the opposite of progress ?

It's just so easy.  No messin' with putty or resin on a flat,  thin base, no worry about anchoring, paints and textures and flocks easy.

I am just glad it isn't uncool or something.   lol
