Vehicles in East Africa in WW1

Does anyone have info on the vehicles in use in the campaign in East Africa? I'm pre-empting a need for stuff when the GW supplement covering that area comes out as well as being able to use other rule sets for that camapign. Really need to get some Brigade games figures as well, they seem to cater fairly (very?) well for the era.

By vehicles do you mean AFV? There was a wideish selction of soft transport, including steam tractors hauling guns. Armoured cars were Rolls Royce and a handful of Lleylands, which saw fairly limited service. Alas nobody makes the rather distinctive looking Lleyland although it wouldn't be the hardest of scratchbuilds.

There was at least one armoured train (His Majesty's Armoured Train Simba) on the Uganda Railway.

Also bicycles, civilian cars, small trucks, etc.

According to Young Indiana Jones there is also a honking great German rail gun.

As armoured cars I would take some Rollers, since nobody does some Leylands yet. Although technically inferior to the Rolls Royces, they are looking fine and would be something different. I'm afraid you'll have to scratchbuild them.
And apart from vehicles, you'll need hordes of bearers for each side. Lettow-Vorbeck alone wore out about 100.000 - 130.000 bearers during his forced marches. The allies for themselves weren't delicate on that matter as well...

You can also look at some model T fords (utility) and especially  the latter part some model T ford ambulances that Company B have just produced.

As mentioned No 1 Squadron RNACD with Rolls and fitted with pneumatic tyres to SW Africa and then four cars to East Africa being renamed 10 (RN) AMB.
4 & 5 (Rolls) LAB East Africa and 1 (Willoughby's) AMB, officially 322 Company, ASC with four Leylands.

Was thinking more on the lines of soft skins, already have one Rolls Royce A/C. Had in mind the Matchbox Crossley and the Lledo model T vehicles to receive a repaint.

Edward Paice on the issue & misuse of bearers is very damning of all sides with the Belgians probably coming out worst but even the Brits smell somewhat off in their treatment and even reduced the pay of the bearers when manpower supply became an issue.
