28mm BP BATTLE OF HANAU 1813
« on: 05 January 2014, 10:44:16 PM »
Over the holiday period I setup a game at my house based on the Battle of Hanau 1813.  We had 6 players on Saturday when we played thru the game.   The result was an indecisive draw as the French did not get near to a breakthrough.

The Coalition centre.  MacDonald's Corps advancing on their left supported by the Old Guard Chasseurs and the Old Guard Grenadiers preparing for their attack in the distance.

The OBs, map and player briefing notes are at

Final position along the Frankfurt highway.  Bavarian square under very close HA fire.

This weekend I staged a second game of my Hanau 1813 scenario.  Five of us took part.   I slightly reorganised the OB of the Coalition Army and improved the quality of the Bavarian line infantry so that they were no longer Unreliable.

Coalition left flank in action - they defeated the first assault by Victor's Corps

Coalition left flank - Old Guard Grenadiers charge home on the Grenzers

Action around Neuhof - which fell to the French due to Bavarian inaction
