Oathsworn Dragon (COMPLETE)
« on: 01 February 2014, 04:32:18 AM »
I just received this in the he post today and have already started on it.
Here it is assembled with the base.

And here is the base completed. Not completely dry and I may put a bit of extra colour on it.

I'll do a size comparison with my next pic. It's quite big and all lead.

Holy crap, you got that today and the base is already done? That was quick!

It flew. Maybe it heard the Lonely Mountain was unoccupied and wanted to beat the rush.

Lovely to see the model in production after watching it grow from scratch.

Thanks.
@lovejoy and Oathsworn Jo, you guys really outdid yourself with this. It's great!
Here's the latest progress with a scale shot compared to a heroquest chaos warrior. It's sneaking up on him.

I've only coated the top red so far. I'm planning on having it with stripes too and a lighter underbelly.

After some time doing other things I've made some progress. Just need to do the underside of the wings and more of the spines and other bits and pieces.

Went for some dark lines to break up an otherwise all red colour scheme.
Poor lighting. The underside is a lighting brown which you can't see.

Here it is complete! I'll probabyl find some things to do on it. I didn't do any washes on it, just highlights starting fairly dark so I may give it a wash If I don't like it during the proper light of day.

Brutal, deadly, primeval.  A gorgeous dragon; I haven't even assembled mine yet!

Looking good! It's the first one I've seen painted so far (apart from mine) and I like the colour choice. Lovely...
