Oathsworn SHAMBLING MOUND.
« on: February 16, 2014, 03:57:14 PM »
Hi I've just finished painting this up over the weekend. It's one of the new Oathsworn monsters from their recent Kickstarter. Lots of detail sculpted in this beast, you don't realize until you start slapping the paint on. I have tried to portray him as a dark forest compost heap. Hope you like, the Halfling is there for size comparison.  THE CID.

Thanks chaps, I think my comparison picture is a little deceiving, the monster seems a lot bigger when it's in your hand ( that's what I tell the wife ).  lol. THE CID.

There is something about Shambling Mounds that I find appealing; I link it to my distaste for yard work in general. Your version is especially cool in a disturbing sort of way. The brushwork is OUTSTANDING...VERY WELL DONE!

Well, I certainly wouldn't want to meet that fellow in a dark forest.  Nicely painted!
