Sci-fi cars
« on: 27 February 2014, 08:29:11 PM »
My sci-fi projects lack of any decent scenery, shame on me. I'm on my way to correct that, and I'm trying to get buildings and stuff. In order to give some more ambientation, I got these two cars. The first one is from Antenocitis:

And the second one is from Scotia Grendel:

The white & orange scheme was something I was eager to try, and this was a nice opportunity. The machine gun suggested any kind of enforcement vehicle, but I didn't want to make it a police car or anything like that, but the corporate concept looked appealing to me. I thought of painting any corporate logo on the side, but I was too lazy for that, I just painted a number and let it go.

So these are the two of them:

I pretty much like both the designs, I may get some more different vehicles, not sure if for actually gaming by giving them any rules or just for giving ambientation to the urban scenario.

Now I seriously need to build up the mdf buildings I have (and most probably buy some more!) :D

I really ought to pick those up. Great paints!

Cool cars with excellent paintjobs. I like the orange stripe; it has that futuristic feel to it.

The yellow car is based on the one from Minority Report, isn't it?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I've got the second one (had it since the 90s).  I painted mine up like a blade runner spinner police car.

(Complete with a light bar on top).

I have some of Antenocitis GoT vehicles, but none of his generic future cars.  Need to remedy that.

Awesome paintwork! :o Very cool to see them side by side too. I thought the Scotia-Grendel spinner would be a lot smaller than the Antenociti car. But no, they look great together! Cheers!

You really nailed the painting on those Suber, great work.  The Scotia Grendel one is particularly nice.

Thank you! I can even see a slight evolution on my own work from the yellow car to the white one, so I'm reasonably pleased. The yellow one reminds me of Minority Report too! And the white one of Blade Runner, I guess.

Awesome paintjobs. Reminds me I need to get that 'wheeled spinner' too soon!

I like the way you nailed the windows. I find that large glass panes made of opaque material are always a pain to paint in a realistic manner.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!
