I e-mailed Nic to ask about the status of the Mahsud a couple of weeks ago (after I'd signed up). I also asked if they were guaranteed to have contemporary rifles for the 1920's-30's, as I was a bit confused about them being listed under "19th Century" and wanted to make sure I was signing up for the right thing. Here's Nic's reply:

Once we receive enough pre-orders to make these figures we will ask all the Club members if they want 19C or 20C figures. At the moment the information I have is all 19C, but I am happy to make them 20C if that is what the Club members want. We only have six people signed up at the moment for the figures and it will be some time before we reach target.

Maybe we should post another notice in TMP, to get more people to sign up. In that case, I think we should stress that what we want from these miniatures is early 20th century Mahsud with Lee-Enfields. As I see it, this is their selling point. There are Pathan miniatures for the 19th century already, but there are none with contemporary weapons for the BoB era.
