Mr. Hyde and Col. Moran
« on: August 30, 2014, 04:15:06 PM »
Col.Moran is a Pinkerton Agent from Design 28 through Black Pyramid Gaming. He was a treat to paint. Mr. Hyde is a 40k Ogre that I bought in the 80s because I thought it looked cool. Digging through the lead pile recently I rediscovered the fig and was struck by its resemblance to Mr. Hyde from Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

More photos that show the shading and detail better. I had finished painting Mr. Hyde on Friday and was quite pleased w/the results when, in a flash, the fig was knocked off the table by my cat.  Chipped paint, bent gun barrel and smooshed details. More damage happened in a few seconds than in the 20 years it banged around in the plastic shoebox.

The Ogryn looks surprisingly good with a "steampunk" paint job, you really pulled that off well!

Very effective repurposing of the figure.

Good work. Those Bob Olley Ogryn's are some of my favourite models so it's nice to see one done a little differently. Looks great.
