Mr Hyde?????
« on: 16 February 2012, 06:08:29 PM »
I bought this mini to use as Mr Hyde ( pretty obvious choice really) and it is the first malifaux mini I have painted.
I haven't really got a use for him ( although I am looking at doing some "Kerberos Club" type Victorian Superhero gaming) but I really liked the figure.

I might also use him as a "tank" type revenant for my Zombie Hunting game..........

Lovely stuff, good to see you back with a cracking paint job :)

Ah, PM, it's been too long since you last gave reason to hate your damnable competence. Your painting has made up admirably for lost time.

Any thoughts on an appropriate scrawny Doctor Henry?

An amazing figure with an equally brilliant paintjob!

I did not know of the existence of this chap. I thought I was going to have to convert a suitable Hyde when the time came. Maybe not, after all.......

Great work PM.

That is a great mini. I'm going to have to get one for myself - I don't know what I'll use it for but I know I'm going to have to buy one  :-*

Great Work.  :)

This figure is an obvious choice as a OTT Mr Hyde. That was my first thought the first time I saw it.

Victorian Roid Rage.

I love it.  :-*

I've been looking at various Hyde miniatures for awhile but I've yet to actually purchase one.

"( although I am looking at doing some "Kerberos Club" type Victorian Superhero gaming)"

What a lovely idea. I'd love to see more!

How to the Malifaux figures scale against the usual 28mm fare?

It really is a great paint job on a cool figure! I like the idea of a figure that can be used as a superhero but also a heavy for a zombie game.

Good question, but I guess with Mr Hyde you can go BIG!

Thanks guys, I'm pretty pleased with him.
Scale wise, I can't comment on other Malifaux minis, although what I've seen they tend to be quite tall and thin compared to other 28mm/32mm minis. This one is HUGE ( you can tell by the size of the street lamp he's holding). I'll take some comparison pics when I get back from a work trip.
As for the "superhero" aspect I was thinking of putting together a small super group and have got my eye on a "Spring Heeled Jack" mini.......

I'm going to replace the daggers with steel claws and greenstuff some pistons/springs on his legs.

PM
